Separate sealed bids for the construction of Sidewalk in the Park will be received by the City of Williamsburg, Kansas at the City Hall located at 123 West William Street, Williamsburg, Kansas 66095 until 6:45 p.m. local time on Monday, February 5,2024. At the said location, date and time all sealed bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bidreceived after the said date and time will be returned un-opened.


All bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to Williamsburg City Clerk, 123 W.WilliamStreet, Williamsburg, Kansas 66095, and plainly marked on the outside as a Bid for Sidewalk in the Park, along with the Bidder's name, address, and

license number, if applicable.


The Contract Documents, including the plans and specifications, may be examined during normal business hours at the following locations:

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained from the office of Sunflower Design, LLC, 3601 SW 29 th Street, Suite 125,Topeka, Kansas 66614 (Telephone: 785.249.1885) upon a non-refundable payment of $30.00 for each set. Electronic copies are available at no cost.


In general terms, this project consists of construction of 1428 square feet of concrete sidewalk and 500 square feet of concrete slab, all located in the Williamsburg City Park, just north of the City Hall.


Bidders must satisfy themselves of the accuracy of the estimated quantities in the bid schedule by examination of the project site and a reviewing the project drawings and specifications, including addenda. After bids have been submitted, the bidder shall not assert that there was a misunderstanding concerning the quantities of work or the nature of the work to be done.


The OWNER reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Other bid and

contract requirements and stipulations are included in the information for Bidders within the said Contract Documents.


Each bid shall be accompanied by either a cashier's check, a certified check drawn on an acceptable bank, or an acceptable bid bond made payable without conditions to the City of Williamsburg, Kansas, in an amount not less than five

percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The bidder should review the Instructions to Bidders in the Contract Documents for other requirements and stipulations.

The bidder to whom a contract for the work is awarded will be required to furnish Insurance Certificates along with a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the awarded contract amount, with a corporate surety approved by the City of Williamsburg, Kansas. This project is funded by the Cost Share Funds of the Kansas Department of Transportation, and therefore, all applicable rules, regulations, standards and requirements for a state funded project shall apply to this project.


Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rate is not applicable to this project. This project will be administered by the City of Williamsburg and their Engineering Consultant Sunflower

Design, LLC of Topeka, Kansas.
