The City is replacing the current manual read water meters with radio read meters. This
change will improve accuracy in the readings and allow the city to spot high usage
between readings, helping to identify leaks. Beginning Saturday, January 27, the city
will be placing “blue flags” at water meter locations. Please do not remove these flags
they will be removed after all work is completed. Work on the replacement is scheduled
to begin between January 29-30 th , 2024. The entire process of replacement should be
completed by the middle of February, depending on weather and will be performed by a
contractor. There will be no digging around the meter pits, the changeout only occurs
inside the pits.
